The Golden Truth def. Breezango (Kickoff Match)
The Golden Truth picked up the must needed win, to say the least after facing huge obligations against them. They literally burnt the Breezango in the Kick-off show. The Bizarre one’s re-entry to the match gave life for them and the interference got stuck by Truth as Goldust sealed the deal with the Final Cut.
Lucha Dragons def. The Dudley Boyz (Kickoff Match)
The masked Luchagors outsmarted the veterans known as the Dudley Boyz in an additional match-up in the Money in the Bank kickoff show. The high-flyers found a way to defeat The Dudley Boyz when Sin Cara took out Bubba Ray Dudley with a Dragon Bomb. It came as sweet retribution for both the masked one as they have failed to do the same when they met with the Dudleys back in April.
The New Day def. Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, and The Vaudevillains
Booty-O’s prevailed at the Sin City when the escaped the show-stealer match of the night as still being the WWE tag team champions. They had to overcome giant size odds, to say the least. The Club almost picked up the victory when they planted English with the Magic-killer. But that got cut by Big E. After Big Cass took out Gallows with a big boot, E and Kingston put away Anderson with the Midnight Hour to retain their title.
Charlotte & Dana Brooke def. Natalya & Becky Lynch
If you can’t beat them, join them. This was the motto for Natalya as she shocked the world after the tag team contest was over. Becky and Natalya showed the teamwork of longtime friends by working smoothly in the ring for the entire match only to be overpowered by the Champion and her partner, Dana. Charlotte then sealed the victory with a Natural Selection to Becky. Natalya fumed over another victory that Charlotte picked her and went right after Becky by putting her down with a handful of fists as the entire arena got stunned.
Baron Corbin def. Dolph Ziggler
As expected, The Lone Wolf emerged victorious at the Money in the Bank encounter and thankfully this should end what would have been a painful rivalry for the fans. Ziggler miss-stepped once and that gave Corbin the opening to get the upper-hand against the former World Heavyweight Champion. After fighting tooth-and-nail against Ziggler, Corbin laid him off with the End of Days and ready to bite his next opponent.
Apollo Crews def. Sheamus
It was an incredible display of the pure power of Sheamus against the agility of Apollo at what is considered as the greatest ever Money in the Bank in the history of WWE. The contest started even before the bell rang with two blowing fists on each other. Apollo put Sheamus down with a perfect dropkick. Sheamus came back with his pendant White Noise but Crews managed to kick out! Apollo then put Sheamus into the crucifix to pin Sheamus and thereby giving him an emphatic statement.
AJ Styles def. John Cena
It was a dream match and the first installment belonged to the Phenomenal One but by the looks of it, the rivalry is not over and will continue tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw. After having a show-stealer back and forth going the referee went down after Can connected with the AA for the second time in the match. The Club siblings Gallows and Anderson took advantage to jump into the mix and put Cena with the Magic Killer. Styles dragged his body to cover up Cena and thus ending the dream match at WWE Money in the Bank with a cheap win.
Dean Ambrose won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Dean Ambrose was the one to head into the match with the highest momentum and him kicked-off the match with the same. Jericho went for the early grabbing to the briefcase with the ladder. After a huge brawl and some spectacular moves, it was down to Ambrose and Owens who was the last two standing on the ladder to grab the Money in the Bank briefcase. Ambrose shoved him off to a bridge of ladder with his chops. The entire arena stood tall to congratulate the briefcase holder. They were yet to know that the arena is going to become an asylum just moments after.
United States Champion Rusev def. Titus O’Neil
Titus failed to capture the United States title on the Father’s day. What was even bitter was the fact that Rusev made Titus tapped out in front of his sons and laughed at him after the victory. After they were over with the physical battle Rusev outsmarted Titus by locking in the Accolade and the Big deal has nothing but to tap out. Rusev delivered a post-match attack to Titus and shouted to his children that their dad was a loser.
Dean Ambrose became the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion
“One day, I’m going to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion,” it was uttered by the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose at last year’s Money in the Bank PPV where he was just a fingertip away from grabbing the championship with the ladder. This year, he overpowered all the odds by turning the Las Vegas into an Asylum. The party got started and will continue on tonight’s Monday Night Raw, for sure. It was a Wrestlemania worthy match-up between Rollins and Reigns. Rollins countered a spear to turn it into a mid-air Pedigree to win back what was rightfully his. But, just moments later Ambrose attacked with the newly own briefcase and planted Rollins with the Dirty Deeds to end the epic Money in the bank PPV and walking out the arena as the brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
