WWE News: Backstage Update on The Return of Kane on Raw
Oct 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM
It might be the umpteenth time that Kane has returned to the WWE programming on his career during this past edition of WWE Raw.
Considering that his career span is over 20 years, it seems quite understandable. However, we can’t deny the fact that every time the red lights and his insane music hits the arena, we get goose-bumps and have the feeling of something terrible to happen.
This week’s Raw was not anything different, as The Devil’s Favorite Demon appeared under the ring. He tore the ring mat to attack Roman Reigns costing him the steel cage match against Braun Strowman. Upon the conclusion, we heard The Miz confirming that Kane will be the fifth participant to perform at the TLC main event against The Shield.
As per reports of wrestlingnews.co, most of the backstage workers, as well as the WWE superstars, were shocked to see the Big Red Monster returning to the show. Much like the audience, they did not have any clue of this one happening at the end of the show.
There was a rumour of a fifth member getting added to the match. Many even speculated that Samoa Joe could be the one for the spot. But, WWE creative team pulled off a miraculous move by playing this angle. Also, they have been able to hide it from the internet leaks. So, we did not receive any clues from any sources, whatsoever about Kane’s return.
Even some days ago, we saw him running for the post of Mayor in the Knox County of Tennessee state. But, like a true veteran, he was available while asked to appear on WWE TV, right away.
Upon his entry into the 5-on-3 match at #WWETLC, @KaneWWE will have competed at a @WWE PPV in all 21 calendar years since his debut in 1997.

Meanwhile, this will be the first time that Kane will be appearing in a PPV match in the year 2017. The last time he was seen was on Smackdown Live, last year during his feud against the Wyatt and Randy Orton.
With this appearance at TLC 2017, he will become an incredible record-holder. According to WWE Stats, Kane is that one rare superstar who will be competing on PPVs in all 21 years of his association with the WWE. Also, Kane will be the superstar to feature in the debut match of The Shield at the TLC 2012, and in their returning match on Sunday.
