Jan 3, 2018 at 2:30 PM
The Road to Wrestlemania will kick-off with the Royal Rumble event, as it does each year. This year, the annual WWE PPV will come back at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to create history.
For the first time, we will have not only men’s Rumble match but also a women’s match, as well. So, the stakes can’t be higher heading into the first dual-brand event of the year.
Following this week’s WWE Raw, we have more names who decided to enter the match. Until last week, Elias, Randy Orton, and Shinsuke Nakamura were the three names who declared their entry to the match. This week, two more names who got added to the fray. Both of them certainly possess the capability to win the event.

John Cena was the one to enter the fray on this week’s WWE Raw. He was not present in the episode but made his presence felt with the big announcement that he will be entering the 31st edition of the Royal Rumble match. It will be his third attempt to win the prestigious contest which earned him the main event spotlight at the biggest event of the year, previously.

He is still the favourite to win the contest, according to the recent reports. WWE is said to be planning big things around the franchise player of the company, and hence the focus will be on him when he enters the Rumble after five years.
Plus, Finn Balor threw his name into the mix, as well. He became the fifth man to declare his entry to the Royal Rumble match. With this confirmation, the first-ever Universal Champion will be gunning for the prime title present on WWE Raw, once again.

The WWE officials wanted him to put in a different capacity, perhaps in the tag team title picture. But, this Royal Rumble entry and the alliance with the members of the Club have certainly shifted the plans. Finally, he might be heading towards the main event spot, in a slow but steady way.
