As reported earlier, the first set of taping for the Mae Young Classic has already been done. The original program will go on the air on the WWE Network starting from August 29th where we get to see 32 elite superstars from all around the globe participating in it. There will be a live finale to crown a champion of the series on September 12th.
Now, we know that Shayna Baszler from UFC has been a participant of the tournament. Being the renowned name that she is, WWE has let her enter in the semi-final lineups, as well. It will be quite surprised if she does not compete in the final, as well.
Now, in a quite interesting happening during the Mae Young Classic tournament, there has been a tease of a major upcoming feud between WWE and the MMA promotion, UFC. We did report that Ronda Rousey was present during the first set of taping to support her UFC colleague Shayna. It looks like WWE has a strong reason to bring her on that evening.
In case you don’t know the four names of Shayna Baszler, Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke are popularly known as the “four horse women of UFC”. The name was obviously given keeping similarity with the “four horsewomen of NXT” comprising Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley.
In a leaked footage from the show, it was revealed that the four superstars from UFC came face-to-face with Charlotte, Becky, and Bayley. This was a major tease that WWE might have thought about a horsewoman vs. horsewoman match in the near future.

Sasha Banks was missing from the altercation since she was not able to attend the event. The Boss had a tour in Australia and New Zealand but she surely had noticed it and sent a message via FaceTime, at one point.
As per the reports, Baszler was the one who started the confrontation by signalling the four-sign to Charlotte, Becky, and Bayley who were attendees for the show. The two teams had a face-off for a short span teasing a big feud demolishing the two company’s barriers.
WWE.com further started a poll stating who the fans would love to see facing Ronda Rousey if she ever returns to the squared circle. This certainly indicates that the company had big plans surrounding the former UFC Bantamweight Champion. The seeds of a monumental feud have been sown and now we have to wait to see when it comes to fruition.
