WWE News: Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg Wrestlemania 33 Match In Planning
Nov 26, 2016 at 11:58 AM
Brock Lesnar has already worked overtime for WWE in 2016. Usually, he appears in four PPVs but this year, it became five with his last appearance in the Survivor Series PPV. Although, it was his last televised appearance, he’ll be competing in one last match in the month of December. For the first time in his career, Lesnar will be participating in a match at Mexico City against Rusev. This is a house show and no sort of controversial outcome is going to happen.
Meanwhile, Cagesideseats.com reported that the beast will not make any appearance on WWE television until 2017. Going one step forward, Ryan Satin of pro-Wrestling Sheet said he’ll also feature in the Royal Rumble match that will further set up the rematch between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.
Apparently, the situation might be going to similar like it was in 2004. Lesnar cost Goldberg his world title shot by eliminating him from the Royal Rumble match. It set up the big Wrestlemania match between them. So, the mega match might just see its third edition at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
Reports also suggest Brock Lesnar is the one who wanted a long term storyline for this feud. So, he was in favor of this squash match. Plus, it helped Goldberg in many ways as he was not fit for a full-fledged match at the PPV.
Furthermore, Lesnar pushed Vince McMahon to sign Goldberg for more than one match contract. He had seen money in this whole feud as well as the chairman did. So both got on the same page. Hence, we got the announcement of Goldberg becoming the first entrant in the Royal Rumble match. This also indicates the fact that Lesnar will be involved in the match reincarnating the feud.
The inclusion of both Goldberg and Lesnar in the 30th annual Royal Rumble PPV would certainly favor WWE to sell out the 65,000 plus crowd. Next year, the prestigious Rumble match will return to Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
