WWE News: Cody Rhodes Gets Invitation to Appear at WWE Starrcade

The news of WWE bringing back the Starrcade event has already turned heads for a lot of fans. The spoilers of the company hosting more older gimmick PPVs came true by the announcement. It used to be the biggest PPV in the calendar of WCW back in the 80s and 90s. At this time, it will be hosted as part of a special WWE Network from the Smackdown brand.
It might not be a PPV, but will certainly be a WWE Network special event. Since the announcement, WWE has been able to create some hype ups around the event. Plus, there have been some altercations on the social media that helped a lot. Apparently, the event will have an old-school feel with some veteran names featuring on the show.
The Hardy Boyz, Ricky Steamboat, The Rock n Roll Express have been confirmed for the event. Plus, if things go smoothly the new might witness a former WWE superstar returning to the show to team up with his legendary brother.
Whereas the announcement of Starrcade received a lot of appreciation, Cody Rhodes’ wife Brandi Rhodes took it in a wrong way. There’s no denying that this particular event was the brainchild of the legendary Dusty Rhodes.
Starrcade was created and delivered by Dusty Rhodes. WWE didn’t want to do it while he was here. Now they want to do it and not give credit? pic.twitter.com/5ZLsoptjHE

Say what you want. I stated a fact. If you can’t handle it go to hell. I’m not going to shut up because the truths uncomfortable.

The complaint made by Brandi was that WWE made no effort to bring it back when Dusty was alive. Now that they are hosting it, they have not given credits to the American Dream.
Dear @MichaelPSHayes1

After Brandi, her husband and the former WWE Superstar, Cody Rhodes addressed WWE producer, Michael Hayes on Twitter pointing out the company’s mistake. He requested that the company should at least book Dusty’s son Goldust at the event since he is still an active performer.
So Cody, UR right we should have Goldy on the show, by the way, what R U doing that night??? Wanna team with UR Brother?

Hayes did not take a long time to respond back to the tweet posted by Cody. He acknowledged the fact The Bizarre One should be on the show. Plus, he also sent an invitation to Cody to return to the event, and team up with his brother. It is quite an interesting scenario considering that this twitter conversation might pave the way for a come back to the former Intercontinental champion to the company.
