John Cena has been on a hiatus from the WWE ever since Wrestlemania 33 has been gone. He is well on the mind of the WWE Universe since he has gifted one of the all-time greatest Wrestlemania moments, this year. The inevitable proposal to Nikki Bella finally happened at the grandest stage of them all.

The Cenation Leader was further brought back to the headlines after WWE hyped up the dream match between him and Roman Reigns in the future. This led to another twitter altercation between two of the behemoths in the WWE.

John Cena sent out a tweet thanking Reigns for letting him own the “ol’ yard”. Reigns replied him back showing gratefulness for the hard work he shows every day. Furthermore, he wanted Cena to be on the road with the roster rather than being away from the company.

At this time, both Raw and Smackdown superstars are at the fag end of their tour to the United Kingdom. But, John Cena is missing out the tour for two consecutive years for his commitments outside the WWE.

The twitter exchange between Cena and Reigns forced the fans to react to it. There’s no denying that this match would certainly be the dream match that everyone wanted to see for a long time. Even Cena recently opened up speaking about the match while promoting his upcoming movie, The Wall. Check out his statement:

“I’ve made a career of shutting the mouths of people who’ve made that claim that WWE was their yard. I very, very much look forward to the day we put that to the test.”

Although Cena and Reigns locked horns inside the ring, it never was a full blown feud. It was during tag team actions or a multiple men championship match. With the internet begging for this one, it is certain that the inevitable would be coming in our way, sooner.
Meanwhile, check out how the fans reacted on Twitter:
