WWE News: Full Bracket Revealed for the Mixed Match Challenge

The Mixed Match Challenge contest is almost upon us starting on the Facebook Live from January 16th onwards. As reported earlier, multiple teams have been revealed for this ground-breaking idea of hosting a show exclusively to streaming on the social media platform. Various male and female superstars from Raw and Smackdown teamed up to take on each other.

In combined, twelve teams were announced to take part in this competition with six from WWE Raw and six from WWE Smackdown. The competition amongst them will happen in mixed tag team match format. It will continue on Facebook Watch in 12 weeks starting from the third week of January right after Smackdown Live.

Recently, WWE has unveiled the full bracket of the entire contest on WWE.com. As expected earlier, the teams from WWE Raw will compete against a team from WWE Smackdown Live. The winner of the contest will then advance to the next round. Check out the full list of matches courtesy WWE.com,

“All six first-round matches will feature a Raw team taking on a SmackDown LIVE team. On the Jan. 16 premiere, Finn Bálor & Sasha Banks will go head-to-head against Shinsuke Nakamura & Natalya.

In the ensuing weeks, the remaining first-round matches will be carried out as follows:
Week 2: The Miz and Asuka vs. Big E and Carmella
Week 3: Braun Strowman and RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Sami Zayn and Becky Lynch
Week 4: Goldust and Alicia Fox vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso and Naomi
Week 5: Elias and Bayley vs. Rusev and Lana
Week 6: Apollo Crews and Nia Jax vs. Bobby Roode and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair”

The interesting part of the contest is that the viewers will have an opportunity to decide a wild-card entry into the contest, as well. A “second chance fan vote” was introduced for the series which will allow an already lost team to come back into the tournament via fans’ voting. It is quite exciting considering the WWE fans Universe will be able to make their presence felt into the live contest.

We have already learned of some interesting pairing in the contest which has raised the curiosity high for the fans. Now, it’s time for the superstars to deliver entertaining matches to make this first-ever concept into a successful one so that the tradition gets retained in WWE programming.
