Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are two of the biggest names that the pro-wrestling industry has ever seen. They are the major box office attractions for any promotion who can sell out an entire show, just like that. This is why WWE has booked them in the main event of Wrestlemania to make happy the 70000 plus fans in attendance.
The biggest event of the year in WWE is inching closer to us and the scheduled for both of them has just got even busier. They will be building up the feud to an extreme point before Wrestlemania before the event by appearing on Raw. But, the question is what lies in their future after it is done? Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter was able to hint about the same in his latest report.
He stated that Goldberg’s contract with WWE expires after Wrestlemania. So, it’s certain that he will drop the Universal title on that night unless he wishes to continue with the company. Vince McMahon is ready to offer a new contract to him but nothing is finalized, yet. The Myth will decide whether he signs the new deal or not.
As far as Lesnar’s future goes, his contract with WWE is intact till next year’s Wrestlemania i.e. on April 8th, 2018. With Goldberg’s departure almost confirmed, the beast has all the chances to come out as the champion from Orlando, Florida.
With the championship in hand, he is likely to have a bigger schedule, this year. He has already competed in four house shows in 2017, so far and will be doing some more. Since this is going to be his last year in the WWE, the company will provide him with a packed schedule from Wrestlemania onwards.
It is certain that being the Universal champion on the Raw brand means he will have title defenses, going forward. So, he will appear on a couple of PPV shows between Wrestlemania and Summerslam. He might lose the title on the second biggest event of the WWE in the month of August.
