WWE News: Huge title matches announced for WWE Payback

The WWE has gone through a change since Wrestlemania where the shows are not usually star-studded and the fresh talents are getting more chances. As a result, we saw AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Cesaro and a bunch of debutants from NXT are on the limelight post-Wrestlemania with Shane-O-Mac being in-charge. Though, in kayfabe storyline but WWE Universe is loving the fact that Vince has given the responsibility of running Raw to Shane.

The night after Wrestlemania has always been infamous for a jam-packed crowd and the fans were happy with some of the decisions that were taken by Shane. The main event which saw a fatal-4-way match among the four of the best technical wrestlers today in WWE was a blockbuster one and furthermore, it gave a chance to the Phenomenal one the opportunity to face off “the guy” Roman Reigns for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

This Monday’s Raw also saw a huge opening contest between Cesaro and Kevin Owens to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental championship and the Swiss Superman advanced to become the one to face the Miz, who is now being seen with his wife. The interesting part was that this week Sami Zayn was pulled into the mix by having a match with AJ Styles. If Zayn would have won then he was supposed to make the WWE World Heavyweight champion a triple threat. But AJ won and kept the main event of WWE Payback intact.
The main event of WWE Payback is scheduled as AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The other championship match that is confirmed as of now is for the Intercontinental championship in which the Swiss Superman Cesaro will face the Miz. The other matches will be announced in the coming weeks.
