WWE News: Jinder Mahal Called Out Brock Lesnar For Survivor Series
Oct 18, 2017 at 12:54 PM
Jinder Mahal has been absent from Smackdown Live, last week as he was scheduled to visit in India. Before this week’s episode, his return was announced. Plus, the general manager also informed us that he would be issuing some challenge for the upcoming dual brand PPV, Survivor Series.
So, The Modern-Day Maharaja arrived in style on Smackdown to address the crowd. He won the audience by cutting a heel promo about the reception he received in his homeland of India. Some pictures were shown before he boasted about the fact that he defeated Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura to be the champion for 150 days.
But, his reign would be incomplete if he does not get a match against the prime champion present on the Raw brand. Considering that he might be the greatest WWE Champion of all time, Jinder Mahal went straight to issue an open challenge to Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series for a match.
It is going to be the main event of the PPV to be hosted on November 19th in Houston, Texas. Being a cross-brand event, this is going to be a champion vs. champion bout where the Universal Champion from Raw will lock horns against the WWE Champion from Smackdown Live. Also, this will be a non-title bout.

However, the match is yet to be confirmed. For now, the challenge has been laid down by the Maharaja which is to be addressed by the beast incarnate. Following the challenge, we learned that Brock Lesnar would appear on the next edition of Monday Night Raw to give his opinion about this one. WWE.com gave further updates confirming Lesnar;s return on Raw,
“Jinder Mahal you have Brock Lesnar’s attention. After SmackDown LIVE’s WWE Champion threw down the gauntlet for a match against Raw’s Universal Champion, The Beast Incarnate will issue his response to The Modern Day Maharaja next Monday night, live on Raw.
Should Lesnar accept this Champion vs. Champion Match challenge, the WWE Universe will bear witness to a battle of brand supremacy at WWE Survivor Series on Sunday, Nov. 19. How will The Anomaly respond? Don’t miss Raw at 8/7 C on USA Network!”
With this announcement coming from WWE, we can certainly expect the official buildup for Survivor Series to get started from next week’s edition of WWE Raw.
