As seen on this past week’s episode of Smackdown Live, Jinder Mahal was not present on the show.

Despite being the WWE Champion and the successful title defence at Hell in a Cell, the title-holder was kept off the main show. However, he appeared to work in a dark title match where he retained the title over Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler.

The supposed reason not to bring him on the main show is the India tour for Jinder Mahal. He is scheduled to visit his home-country for the next couple of days. As per storyline perspective, he will appear on next week’s Smackdown to speak about his experience from India.

Meanwhile, he will be promoting the upcoming India tour of WWE Live in December. Those who are not aware, the tickets for that night have already been made available starting from yesterday. The hype up around this tour is surely expected to pick up once the Modern Day Maharaja joins the party

It was earlier reported by Triple H on his Twitter handle that Jinder will be arriving in India on October 10th. However, the updated schedule stated that the champion would be spending October 13th to 15th in his native land. Check out the updates provided on regarding the visit,

“It seems Jinder Mahal wants to do more than just be a part of the two WWE Live Events announced for New Delhi, India, on 8 and 9 December. In fact, the current WWE Champion plans to return home to India 13 through 15 October.
During his visit, Mahal will meet with the media and members of the WWE Universe throughout Mumbai and New Delhi, and discuss the upcoming Live Events, which will also include Raw Superstars like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss, among others.”

Jinder Mahal has been the champion on Smackdown Live ever since May 21st, i.e. the Backlash PPV. He had surpassed the reign of AJ Styles of 140 days which was the longest one on Smackdown Live brand, till date. Jinder will soon set a record by touching the mark of 150 days. We should not be surprised if he continues to carry the title on his shoulder till the actual WWE Live takes place in December.
