Before the end of the Smackdown Live we have seen Ambrose and Styles confronting each other for the final time before Backlash. Ambrose was at his witty best by throwing jokes at the Phenomenal One. Styles got ferocious with the insults from the champion after he remarked that “he is the face that comes at the second place”. Styles hit Ambrose with a low blow and the champ went down. The show went off the air with Styles mocking Ambrose.

However, that was not the end of the show as Styles continued the beat down on Ambrose until John Cena came out of nowhere to make the save. Cena received a huge reception and unleashed upon Styles. Bray Wyatt was added to the mix causing a six man tag team match in the dark segment. The WWE World Champion, Dean Ambrose and John Cena teamed up to take on Styles and Bray Wyatt.

Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Styles and Ambrose countered the Sister Abigail to connect with the Dirty Deeds to pick up the win to send the crowd home happily. John Cena in has made quite a few dark appearances in the dark segments for the past couple of weeks which means he is waiting to come back to the TV taping in a proper time. The time is most probably going to be prior to the Survivor Series PPV.

Also, on Smackdown we saw The American Alpha getting ambushed by the Uso twins after digesting a quick loss. They left Gable and Jordan hurt inside the ring. Later on the Talking Smack show, the Smackdown General Manager, Shane McMahon revealed that due to the Usos’ attack Gable is hurt and hence will not compete at the Backlash PPV.

But, they are not going to hand the team of Rhyno and Heath Slater the new Smackdown tag team championship. Hence, there will be a second chance match between the Hype Bros and The Usos. The winner of the match will compete against Slater and Rhyno at the final of the tournament.
