It is evident that Kurt Angle was not brought back in WWE television only for the Raw General Manager post. If the planning turns out to be right for him, then it might not take a long before he wrestles in one or more marquee matches in the company.

As per the latest reports, WWE is not hell bent to let the Hall of Famer wrestle inside the squared circle, sooner. Rather, the process would be much longer. The company wants Kurt Angle to go through some more stuff to make sure that he is physically doing alright.

If WWE’s medical team allows him to continue wrestling then we could imagine seeing him wrestling, again. Meanwhile, Kurt Angle appeared in an interview with wrestlingINC.com to discuss whether he has undergone the aforesaid physical test, his role as the Raw GM, his talking with Triple H and more.

The six-time world champion mentioned that WWE took the right decision by making the contents into PG. While talking about the much-anticipated in-ring return, he stated,

“I don’t know about ‘soon’. I think that the general manager role is going to last a little while. I don’t think they want me to go any step further than that, but you do have to keep in mind that until I take the physical (no in-ring return will happen). I don’t know when it’s going to occur, but I’d say it’d most likely occur. But, I’d say probably near the end of the year is what I’m guessing and I really don’t know.”

It was for sure that Angle has brought the ‘in-ring return’ topic to Triple H while signing the WWE contract. The COO strictly suggested that they will reach to that certain point but that will take a long time. Here’s what Angle said about his meeting with Triple H:

“I did hint to Triple H at the very beginning of our talks that I did want to wrestle again and he said, ‘we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. You’re going to have to take a physical and you’re going to have to pass.’ So he said, ‘let’s just take it one step at a time.’ I really believe, and this was not mentioned by anybody, and this is my own belief, I really believe they want to see how I do.

They want to see if I really am the person I say I am, that I’ve been staying clean for four years, that I’ve got my life together, that I have everything on track. It’s a bit of a longer process, but you’ve got to earn back the trust.”
