Jan 13, 2018 at 5:06 PM
The teams for the WWE Mixed Match Challenge have been finalized with just a couple of days remaining from the commencement.
Earlier, multiple pairs have been revealed by the general managers from both Raw and Smackdown. It ensured that same numbers of teams would be announced from these two brands to have an equal number of matches between them.
Goldust has been the one who was dying to receive a partner in the contest. He has approached Asuka for a potential team. But, Kurt Angle booked her up with none other than the returning Miz wiping out the chances. Following up the decision, he booked Alicia Fox with the bizarre one.

Upon this announcement, the veteran pro-wrestler has reacted in a positive way suggesting he is looking forward to team up with the victorious team captain from 2017 Survivor Series. Hopefully, this weird team can get along, well. Check out the official announcements from WWE.com,
“Prepare for a double dose of the eccentric. The improbable team of Goldust and Alicia Fox will represent Team Red in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge tournament, airing exclusively on Facebook Watch beginning next Tuesday, Jan. 16.
To say that The Bizarre One and Miss Fox each bring something unique to the table is a gross understatement. He’s flamboyant and larger-than-life, while she’s prone to completely unpredictable behavior that stems from her raw intensity.”
The last team from Smackdown Live was decided by the fans since they were given the duty of choosing Carmella’s partner. The nominees were none other than the three members of The New Day. Big E was the hot favourite from the get-go of this voting and eventually won the contest to complete the card. Here is the official update,
“The WWE Universe has spoken! After winning with 47 percent in a vote between the members of The New Day on Facebook, Big E has been tasked with bringing The Power of Positivity alongside Carmella in WWE Mixed Match Challenge, the innovative tournament premiering this Tuesday, Jan. 16, exclusively on Facebook Watch.”
