WWE News: Melina, MVP, Zinder Mahal returning to WWE

  • We officially entered into the new era of WWE, starting with brand new Monday Night Raw and Tuesday Night Smackdown Live. With Summerslam just 4 weeks away from us, we got an idea of how WWE is going to intend post-brand split era. We have got two fresh championship matches set for Summerslam.
To make things more interesting we have set for the return of Brock Lesnar on Raw. On the blue brand, we will see the return of the former WWE United States champion Shelton Benjamin. But that’s not all as a report of PWInsider.com suggests that former WWE Superstar Zinder Mahal will be returning to the company after two years.
Zinder was released from WWE in the year 2014 when he had a forgettable run as a member of 3MB with Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. The Punjabi-origin wrestler debuted back in 2011 against his fellow countrymen The Great Khali and worked as a top heel. He went on to go into feuds with top names like Sheamus, Randy Orton, Ryback etc. In NXT, he was undefeated until Seth Rollins pinned him in the Gold Rush tournament in the year 2011.

Melina is the other one who is supposed to return after a hiatus for over 5 years. The former five-time WWE Divas champion had a six-year stint in the company which ended in 2011. Since leaving WWE she was seen in various wrestling promotions like Women Superstars Uncensored, Family Wrestling Entertainment, World Wrestling Council, Maryland Championship Wrestling and Lucha Underground. Her beau John Morrison works in the last mentioned promotion and she worked as is valet who is also supposed to make a return to the WWE.
Apart from these names, former Smackdown General Manager, Teddy Long met MVP in a wrestling show and was confirmed by him that MVP and Shelton are just waiting to get cleared by some routine medical check-ups by the WWE officials before signing a WWE contract. Curt Hawkins is another one who is set for a return to WWE.
