Last week, we have seen a major fall though between Naomi and Charlotte which handed Becky Lynch a loss on Smackdown. After the match, both of them were having a heated confrontation at the backstage area when Becky came up with the idea of a six-woman tag team match at Backlash.

The match was made official on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live by each of the women signing the contract in the presence of the commissioner, Shane McMahon. Charlotte, Becky, and Naomi will team up against the three members of the Welcoming Committee, Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina.

Although the team of the babyfaces has vowed to work together on this Sunday, there are major doubts if it would turn out, that way. The main concern is one Charlotte’s character and her heel persona.
She is a natural heel and just could not keep up the pace with a sudden babyface turn. As reports from, the creative previously had some major issues with this turn. So, they will keep the villain persona intact with Charlotte.

As a result, we would see her turning into a heel at Backlash, again. This might occur at the least expected time by backstabbing on her partners or leaving them high and dry inside the ring. No wonder, this could be the turning point of the match which would earn the victory for the Welcoming committee.

Apparently, the WWE creative is very high on the heel faction that took over the division, as of late. The win will put them in a more dominating position than ever before.
Also, by virtue of her pinfall win over the champion, Carmella will earn her first-ever singles title shot at the next PPV. This would start a very interesting program between Naomi and Carmella.

On the other hand, Charlotte will be involved in another feud against her former rival from NXT, Becky Lynch. The Irish Lass-kicker is not someone who is new of this backstabbing. So, she will handle it with maturity, for sure.

The question with Charlotte’s heel-turn at Backlash is that will the creative be able to keep the balance intact between the heel and babyfaces. Only, two of them, Becky and Naomi would be remaining face whereas the remaining will be heels. Maybe at some point, WWE is intending to insert Nikki Bella make things right.
