WWE News: Shelton Benjamin Gives Update About His Injury And Return
Jan 7, 2017 at 3:41 PM
WWE Fans are excited about Shelton Benjamin returning to the company after almost seven years. During the WWE Draft, there were rumors of various WWE legends returning. Although, we did not get many surprises on that night, Smackdown started channeling vignettes of Shelton Benjamin returning to the company.
However, an unfortunate injury canceled all plans regarding him. The former WWE superstar took to Twitter to let us know that he has to undergo a surgery due to a torn rotator cuff. This is the same issue that kept John Cena out of action for five months during the beginning of this year.
This happened during a medical check-up one has to go through before landing on the main roster of the WWE. Benjamin, former United States champion, also had no clues that he was suffering from concussion.
For the record. I will make moves to return to @WWE when I am back to 110% physically. Anywhere from 4 to 6 months by my doc calculation.

Almost four months have passed and Benjamin now has given some updates regarding his injury. If things go well then we might see him anywhere around Wrestlemania XXXIII.
The WWE Creative surely has something big for him upon return. Both Vince McMahon and Triple H are looking forward to the Golden standard to be back in the WWE.
Benjamin was a quite successful champion in the WWE during the ruthless aggression era. His arrival in the WWE would certainly be fruitful since it would help the creative to pencil some fresh storylines. Plus, it would be helpful to minimize the depth in the roster before the Wrestlemania season.
