For quite sometime now, the WWE has been looking to bring the UFC superstars under their wings for one-off matches. This is to ensure product’s catering more to the mainstream audience. There is not much competition for the WWE in the pro-wrestling industry. So, it’s quite evident that they want to cater their product to a bigger audience through mainstream channels.
As per rumors, they are all set to rope UFC superstars for the next Wrestlemania event and Ronda Rousey is the first name that comes in mind. Ever since she featured in the one-off segment at Wrestlemania 31, the WWE universe wanted to see more of her in the WWE products. However, due to her contract with the UFC, she could not come back.
Recently, Stephanie McMahon had an interview with USA Today where she said the WWE will always welcome Ronda Rousey with open arms whenever she likes to feature in a fight inside the squared circle. This was her comments:
“Our fans love Ronda. Ronda has this cross-platform appeal in terms of all forms of entertainment. We would welcome her with open arms. She is the total package.”
Stephanie also recalled the segment from Wrestlemania 31 featuring the Rock, Ronda Rousey, Triple H and herself. This segment received the “moment of the year” award as well. Here’s what she had to say about the segment:

“The moment was awe inspiring. Our business works the best when there are magic and energy in the air, and Ronda’s presence brought that. With a guest appearance like Ronda’s, to work best it has to be genuine and authentic. Pop culture is a huge strategy for WWE, our storylines are reflective of what’s happening in the world and what’s popular. In sports, it doesn’t get much more popular than Ronda.”
Ronda’s outing at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes is said to be her last in the Octagon. She previously wished to have a career in the WWE, after her stint in the UFC gets over. So, it makes sense that she might finally appear in the WWE going forward. As per rumors, WWE wants her to face the Raw Women’s champion Charlotte at Wrestlemania 33.
