WWE News: The Feud Between Randy Orton and Rusev is Not Over

Randy Orton and Rusev entered into a rivalry before the Summerslam PPV. At that point, Orton was over with his feud against Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. On the other hand, Rusev was done with a one-off match against John Cena at the Battleground PPV. So, these two started a storyline which was a fresh one.

In the past, these two has never been part of a stretched feud, and hence we thought something interesting would be kept in store in this angle. Furthermore, Rusev would be able to find his lost heel spot on the WWE roster. But, till date, no importance has been given to this particular feud, and the matches have been random.

Randy Orton won the first bout at Summerslam in just ten seconds. Rusev sought the vengeance on The Viper by defeating him in just eight seconds on one episode of Smackdown Live. It set up the rubber match at Hell in a Cell which turned out to be yet another dull affair.

The match lasted for twelve minutes which was bore fest for the fans indeed. In the end, Randy Orton picked up another PPV win by delivering an RKO to the Bulgarian Brute. Some might think that this nightmare should have ended, much earlier but Dave Meltzer reported that this rivalry is not over, yet.

According to the reports by him on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rusev vs Orton will continue over the next few weeks. It might last long until the Survivor Series PPV. Proving Meltzer’s point right, these two were part of a tag team contest on this past edition of Smackdown Live, as well.

The feud will probably come to an end with a match which will have a special kind of stipulation. Their match at Hell in a Cell was supposed to be a Last Man Standing match, reportedly. This capacity came during one of their house show matches in Japan. Shortly, the match will take place to give one of them, the ultimate victory.

These two are great in-ring workers and has the potential to bring the house down in a no-DQ capacity. It will also bring a proper end to a feud that had tremendous potential.
