This week’s episode of Smackdown Live took place at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama. Just three weeks away from the Royal Rumble PPV, the show-runners stumbled to deliver a packed episode. The absence of some heavy names to sell out the show is definitely missed. However, one such name was present at the backstage, this week.

According to the recent reports, none other than The Undertaker was present on the show. The motive of this appearance alongside other details are unknown, at this point. However, with this presence, it might be confirmed his in-ring return is inching closer. Check out the supportive statements from westlingINC.com regarding this appearance,

“The Undertaker was backstage for this week’s WWE SmackDown in Birmingham, Alabama, according to PWInsider. No word yet on why The Dead Man was there but it could have been to go over plans for his big TV return at the RAW 25th Anniversary show on January 22nd in New York City.”

As you can see, the source hinted there might be a secret meeting held for the upcoming appearance for the Phenome. After much speculations over an entire year, he will finally come back for a televised edition of WWE programming on January 22nd with the indication that he might compete at Wrestlemania 34.

Another possibility regarding this appearance might be due to a regular check-up at the medical facility in Birmingham. While WWE superstars suffer injury, most of them undergo surgery and checkups, here in this city. The Undertaker, too, had undergone a hip surgery following last year’s Wrestlemania, and he might be present in the city for a follow up checking and took time to attend the show on Tuesday Night.

With the WWE Raw 25th anniversary coming up, rumours are running rampant about a big match in-store for the greatest performer in the history of Wrestlemania. The potential names for his opponent are going to be John Cena, Braun Strowman. A rematch with Roman Reigns is also said to be on the cards. We will be confirmed about the planning when WWE Raw celebrates its 25th anniversary.
