We have got an action packed episode of WWE Raw last night from Kansas City, MO. The night marked the first night with Kevin Owens being the first-ever WWE Universal Champion. The night began with a coronation for the new champion. Rollins interrupted by saying that if Owens is going to be the face of the new era then he is going to burn it to the ground. Hence, Mick Foley granted the match at the Clash of Champions with Owens defending his title against Rollins.
We expected to turn Rollins babyface fully starting from last night’s WWE Raw but we have not seen it. However, he is going into a feud against a heel, Kevin Owens. He also featured in a match against Owens’ friend, Chris Jericho and picked up the win which is supposedly an indication of turning face.
The end of WWE Raw saw Owens defeating his nemesis Sami Zayn via the pop-up powerbomb. Then Reigns came down to the ramp to get a piece of Owens. Mick Foley then announced Reigns vs. Owens for next week’s WWE Raw. If Reigns is able to win, then he will be added to the championship match at Clash of Champions. Reigns finished off the night by spearing Owens’ buddy Chris Jericho.
But, there were more in store after the cameras stopped rolling. The team of Owens and Jericho attacked Roman Reigns and continued the beatdown until Seth Rollins music hit. Rollins came running to save Roman Reigns from the beatdown which is absolutely unthinkable. Then Owens and Jericho was retreated against the combined force of Reigns and Rollins.

This sudden re-union of the former brethren reminded everyone present in the arena to their SHIELD days. We briefly thought perhaps a Shield re-union was on the card but that was cut short by Reigns. The Big Dog was not happy to see Rollins making the save and hence connected with a huge spear to Rollins to end the night.
