WWE News: Twitter Exchange Between Two Smackdown Authorities Ahead of Clash of Champions
Dec 17, 2017 at 4:12 PM
The rift between the two head figures of Smackdown Live has been continuing for a long time. We expect to see a massive fallout regarding this situation heading into the Clash of Champions PPV. Both Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon are expected to come up with their agenda in a match where they both will be acting as special guest referees.
As revealed earlier, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will be getting the main event spotlight at the upcoming Smackdown-exclusive PPV. They will be stepping into the ring against two of the very best of this generation, Randy Orton, and Shinsuke Nakamura. But, there are two added stipulations for this contest.
Shane McMahon appointed himself as the special guest referee of this match continuing his vendetta against the heel duo. Another stipulation is if Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn end up losing then they will no longer be a part of WWE. They can never head into Raw either since their career will be over. To ensure that this happens in the match, the commissioner will be the official.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my decision from #SDLive. I’ve been asked where my “loyalty” lies. When I step into the ring at #WWEClash, it’ll be to protect the future of #SDLive for the @WWE Universe: something @shanemcmahon and I definitely agree on.

To counter this unfair decision, Daniel Bryan added himself to the mix as the second special guest referee in it turned the scene upside down and opened the barrier between him and Shane McMahon. It’s just a matter of time than all hell gets loosened between these two at the PPV.
I agree with Daniel. We both want to protect the future of #SDLive. Looking forward to Sunday. #WWEClash https://t.co/dejGckjiDn

I’m looking forward to being the special guest referee and having the best seat in the house for the tag team match of @FightOwensFight and @SamiZayn as they take on The Viper @RandyOrton and his partner @ShinsukeN at #WWEClash. pic.twitter.com/u5FQ8Bbdyd

While addressing the situation on Twitter, Daniel Bryan stated some people are questioning to his loyalty after his decision from this past edition of Smackdown. But, he will show them that how much he cares about the future of the blue brand on Sunday.
In return, Shane McMahon stated he agrees with the statement that how much he wants to protect the future of Smackdown Live. But, things will not be such smooth at the PPV, going by the ongoing cold war between the two of them. We can’t expect to see the altercation between these two authority figures in the action-packed main event.
