WWE News: Twitter Explodes After Randy Orton Turns His Back On Bray Wyatt
Mar 1, 2017 at 7:00 PM
The inevitable was about to happen at a certain point and it happened big time on Smackdown after Randy Orton finally turned on against Bray Wyatt. The WWE champion was trying to tell about how he would tackle the resistance of the new number one contender, AJ Styles. But, instead, he saw Randy Orton burning the soul of Sister Abigail and finally challenging him to a match at Wrestlemania.
This certainly made things interesting on Smackdown as there’s no surety of who would challenge the champion at Wrestlemania. AJ Styles has earned the right to be called the number one contender. On the other hand, Randy Orton is the automatic contender courtesy of his Royal Rumble win.

Once Smackdown went off the air, AJ Styles appeared on the talking Smack show to demand his spot at the main event of Wrestlemania by confronting Shane McMahon. The commissioner denied to tell anything and only stated that there would be a lot of discussions to determine a true contender for the championship.
As per the rumours, the creative had a solid plan with the twists and turns on Smackdown, every week. This was done to keep Styles out of the title picture at Mania by brewing up his feud with Shane McMahon. The rivalry should begin after the show-runner announces an Orton vs. Styles match for the near future.
Styles would end up losing the contest and declare his frustrations on McMahon to make the gradual build up for Mania. On the other hand, we will get a dream contest between The Viper and the Phenomenal One ahead of Wrestlemania.
Meanwhile, the social media was all over with the segment of Randy Orton burning down the Wyatt compound which also pointed out that the blue brand is miles ahead in terms of story-telling from the flagship show.
