WWE News: Twitter Reacts On Jinder Mahal Becoming The New WWE Champion
May 22, 2017 at 3:25 PM
The WWE fans were shocked last night after witnessing history at the Backlash PPV. We have a new WWE champion in the name of a Canadian-Indian, Jinder Mahal. It was a complete shocker as hardly any of us would have thought that the company would give such a huge push to him that will make him the holder of the most coveted prize in the sports entertainment.
Once Jinder Mahal picked up the title, the reaction of the Chicago crowd was worth to remember. They are known as one of the best fans all over the globe and proved once again why so. From the moment “The Maharaja” stepped his foot into the arena, the crowd was on their feet whether they booing him or cheering him.
The WWE creative might have been very happy with the fact that the fans went thunderous with “Let’s go Jinder, Jinder sucks”. These made the main event of the PPV even more successful than thought. WWE executed their plan successfully to garner all the reactions from all around the globe.
Plus, Vince McMahon finally found someone worthy to be the representative for the Indian audience. He is trying to grab the subcontinent to make more WWE Network subscribers. In order to do so, he tried to offer a contract to Sushil Kumar, previously. However, the deal never came to fruition.
So, it’s none but Jinder Mahal who stood tall, last night in a PPV which will be remembered for a long time. He became the second ever Indian to hold the WWE championship in the WWE. The first one to do so was none other than The Great Khali. He did it back a decade ago on Smackdown.
Check out how the twitter-verse reacted to the brand new WWE champion:
