Jan 17, 2018 at 5:19 PM
The rumours were there about two of the main event stars from Impact Wrestling promotion leaving the company, sooner.
As reported earlier, Bobby Lashley and Ethan Carter III were the name concerned whose contract were up for the grabs. If the recent taping was any indication, then they are really done with Impact Wrestling promotion.
As reported by stillrealtous.com, Bobby Lashley had his last appearance under the banner of Impact in the latest taping which will get aired in recent weeks. Apparently, he came out challenging a match to Bryan Cage. Cage alluded that he had already beaten Lashley before. So, he does not intend to do it again.
The former WWE superstar went on to say he was going to make Cage famous. After that, he put over the Swole-verine and decided to leave the ring. Before exiting, he took a bow to the fans to show gratitude to the fans present in the arena and vanished to the backstage. Apparently, this was his last appearance under the banner of Impact Wrestling promotion.

Ethan Carter III also suffered the same consequence in the taping by being a part of the “feast or fired” match. It is a classic match concept innovated by the TNA officials. Following the conclusion of a match, a number of superstars will pull down their briefcases with unknown fate waiting for them.
One of them will receive a championship shot, whereas, the other will get fired from the company. It looked like Moose, Eli Drake, Petey Williams, and EC3 received championship matches. However, Carter later revealed that he got fired from the company. It was a storyline perspective to end his career in Impact.

The former franchise player did not go without a fight, though. He attacked Jeremy Borash to lay him down. Before leaving the ring, he stated that he carried the company for four years, being a former franchise player. Before the final leave, he gave a bow down to the fans.
As for the future of the superstars, this was stated by the source saying that WWE might be their next destination,
“The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated Impact Wrestling is cutting a few of their top contracts and due to tightening their belts it looks like this might be true for at least one of the above-mentioned stars because some momentum just went the direction of WWE.”
