WWE News: Update On Smackdown Multi-Women Championship Match At Wrestlemania

Last week on Smackdown Live, Alexa Bliss came out to declare that she will not defend her title against anybody from the roster at Wrestlemania. The segment turned out to be a nightmare for her as the Smackdown GM, Daniel Bryan showed up on the segment to announce that the champion will have to defend everyone present on the female roster on April 2nd.
Recent reports suggested that currently there are six female talents on the blue brand. Hence, this title match might be contested as a six-way match among Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Mickie James, Natalya, Carmella and Nikki Bella.
But, it is yet to know how Nikki will be involved in the match since she should be booked in a mixed tag team match with his boyfriend, John Cena to take on the team of The Miz and Maryse. It is expected that further addresses will be made regarding this issue.

Now, there are some big reasons as of why this match was turned into a multi-women match. Previously, a triple threat match featuring the champion, Becky Lynch and Mickie James was scheduled to take place at Wrestlemania. But, WWE is still expecting that the former champion, Naomi might get cleared to compete in this title match, as well. To insert her in this contest, the creative is keeping the road wide open.

Furthermore, the source suggested that Eva Marie might also be a surprise addition to the match. It will be done to add a glam factor to the match. There’s no denying that she can garner much attention from the crowd whenever she shows up.
As of now, she is till busy with her movie commitments. Perhaps, she will take a short break from it to perform at the grandest stage of them all.

Plus, it was reported earlier that WWE is bringing back at least couple of former champions prior to Wrestlemania for a multi-women match. So, at any point, we can expect to see some veteran names to be added into this bout to make it even more interesting. We should get some more updates on this during this week’s Smackdown Live.
