An excellent video promo was shown on this match before the start of the match. It showed how Brock Lesnar not only defeated John Cena but humiliated him at Summerslam. John Cena was given a rematch at Night of Champions. Paul Heyman provoked Cena and wanted him to turn on the fans. Cena denied and guaranteed that not only he would beat Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions, he would beat Brock Lesnar’s a** at Night of Champions. John Cena came out to the arena first, the fans gave him mixed reaction, he was not booed as always. The WWE World Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar along with his manager Paul Heyman came out next.

The bell rang and here we go. Lesnar picked Cena up and took him to the nearby turn buckle. Lesnar hit a number of Shoulder blocks on Cena. Lesnar tried to hit a German Suplex, Cena blocked it by holding the ropes, he pushed Lesnar away. Cena grounded Lesnar with two back to back clotheslines. Cena quickly picked up Brock Lesnar and hit the Attitude Adjustment. Cena attempted the pin and Lesnar kicked out in one count.

As Cena went near Lesnar again, Lesnar quickly locked the Kimura Lock. Cena somehow grabbed the rope. Lesnar started dominating Cena. After a number of kicks and punches, Lesnar hit a German Suplex. As Lesnar went towards Cena again, Cena tried to fight back, but Lesnar locked his injured arm in a standing lock. Cena was holding the rope so Lesnar had to leave him.

As Cena went in the middle of the ring, Lesnar locked the Kimura Lock again. Cena again was able to make it to the bottom rope. Lesnar’s domination on Cena continued. Cena tried to fight back, but Lesnar kept the control of the match in his hands by connecting a German Suplex. Lesanr attempted a pin which Cena kicked out by two.

Lesnar hit three back to back suplexes on Cena and quickly locked his head in the head lock submission maneuver. Cena got out of it quickly but could not fight back. Lesnar tried to make a pin which Cena kicked out by the count of two. Lesnar took Cena to the nearby turn buckle and hit a number of Shoulder blocks. Cena tried to fight back with a number of punches but Lesnar grounded him quickly with a vicious clothesline.

Lesnar’s domination continued. Lesnar went for Cena’s injured arm, Cena had the rope in front of him so he grabbed it. Lesnar picked Cena up and hit a Belly to Belly Suplex. Lesnar attempted a cover which Cena kicked out by the count of two. Cena tried to fight back but Lesnar grounded him again. Lesnar’s domination on Cena went on.

Cena tried to fight back, he hit a number of punches, as he attempted the Attitude Adjustment, Lesnar countered with a German Suplex. Lesnar’s nose was bleeding, it was hit by Cena’s elbow earlier. Cena was near a turn buckle, Lesnar opened his gloves and let his knuckles bared. Lesnar picked Cena and took him to the opposite turn buckle and hit a number of shoulder blocks. Suddenly, Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment and attempted a pin, Lesanr kicked by the count of two.

As both wrestlers stood up, Lesnar picked up Cena up for the F-5, Cena slid out and reversed the maneuver with the STF submission maneuver. Lesnar, after being locked in for a while countered the move into the Kimura Lock. Somehow Cena picked Lesnar up, he smashed Lesnar’s body with the turn buckle twice to get out of the Kimura Lock. Cena hit another Attitude Adjustment, and locked Lesnar into the STF.

The submission maneuver was locked in for quite a while, as Lesnar grabbed the rope, Cena dragged Lesnar behind and locked the STF again. Cena opened the lock and hit another Attitude Adjustment, as Cena attempted the pin, Seth Rollins appeared and hit Cena with the Money in the Bank briefcase. The referee called for the bell. The match went to disqualification.

Rollins drove Cena out of the ring. Then he nailed Lesnar with the Curb Stomp. Seth Rollins wanted to cash in his contract. Before his match could start, Cena blocked him and Seth Rollins could not cash in his contract. Cena tried to beat Rollins down but Rollins somehow escaped. Rollins escaped the arena and his contract was safe since his match was never started.

As Cena turned to Lesnar, Lesnar nailed Cena with the Attitude Adjustment. Cena was down, Lesnar had the title in his hand. It had been announced that John Cena won the match via disqualification, however, Brock Lesnar still remained the WWE World Heavyweight champion. Lesnar slowly walked out of the arena along with his manager Paul Heyman and Cena sat inside the ring in disappointment.
