WWE: Raw Full Results: August 14th, 2017

The last episode of WWE Raw prior to Summerslam PPV was hosted last night by the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. A number one contender’s match was already announced to determine Alexa Bliss’ challenger at the dual brand PPV.

Plus, it was expected that the three contenders for the Universal Championship will look forward to gaining momentum. Here are the results from the show:

WWE Raw opened up with Dean Ambrose who received a standing ovation from the crowd. He did not take a long time to call out Seth Rollins. They could not put aside their differences and started brawling, all over. Sheamus & Cesaro came down and started ambushing them by taking advantage of the situation.

This forced Rollins and Ambrose to work together, finally. They were able to put away the tag team champions from the ring and put their fists together for the Shield reunion. Kurt Angle appeared on the ramp to announce that Rollins and Ambrose will get a tag team title match at Summerslam.

Sasha Banks took on Nia Jax in a number one contender’s match for Alexa Bliss’ championship at Summerslam. The champion was present at ringside and The Boss made a bold statement by making Nia tapping out with the Bank Statement submission hold. She will challenge Alexa for the title at Summerslam.

Surprisingly, the supposed Cruiserweight Championship match at Summerslam was preponed on Raw. Akira Tozawa defeated Neville via a Senton Bomb from the top rope to become the new champion ending Neville’s title run that stayed for almost seven months.

Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt was handed a match, as they started fighting in the backstage area. The latter one was able to continue his mind-games on Balor and put him down with a Sister Abigail. They will have a rematch at Summerslam and Balor is supposed to bring out his demon persona for that.

Mickie James defeated Emma in a singles contest. Big Cass had another confrontation with Big Show and Enzo with the Shark Cage hanging above the ring. Gallows and Anderson showed up to deliver a beat down on Show and Enzo to put them down.

The Miz had a confrontation with the Hardy Boyz at backstage. Hardyz decided to show up between Miz’s match against Jason Jordan. This set up a tag team contest between the team of Hardy Boyz-Jordan and the three members of The Miztourage. Jeff Hardy hit the Swanton Bomb on Bo Dallas to pick up the win.

The final segment of WWE Raw featured all four participants of the Universal Championship match. Reigns and Joe started the brawling that left Lesnar and Strowman standing inside the ring. They started fighting each other as the security team separated them. The show went off the air with the entire roster trying to stop Lesnar and Strowman from fighting.
