So what to expect from Monday Night Raw after a lacklustre Fastlane? It had all the potentials to be a great event, but once again Raw creative did what they are best at; messing things up.
We might see Goldberg in action on Raw for the first time in thirteen years. Yeah, Kevin Owens might get Universal championship rematch, he cannot get it at WrestleMania since Goldberg is already booked against Brock Lesnar at the event. So yes, a rematch between Goldberg and Owens seems logical.
Chris Jericho may appear to address his former on-screen best friend, and Kevin Owens may finally break his silence on Jericho on this week. This is going to interesting. These two are heading to WrestleMania for sure, but before that, we are expecting some good promo wars.
We are also expecting to see the Undertaker appearing on this week’s Monday Night Raw. Roman – Braun feud is over for good now, we might see a rematch between the individuals on this week too and this has to be it for this feud, it should not go on for long, and if they are seriously planning for Undertaker – Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, well it should start from this very week.
Moving on to tag team division; Enzo and Cass were not beaten clean at Fastlane so might get a rematch on this week against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. But this match just cannot head towards WrestleMania. They should organise a four-way tag team championship match for WrestleMania including the New Day and maybe Sheamus and Cesaro too.
As Sami Zayn was literally buried himself to push Samoa Joe on Fastlane, we hope not to see any continuation of this feud and Sami getting a new feud which he would not lose. Maybe against Rusev. Yes, it would be good for both individuals. Rusev is not having any good feud recently, and he was terribly booked against the Big Show at Fastlane. So losing a feud to Sami would not affect his career much. And a feud win over Rusev would elevate Sami’s situation higher.
Speaking of Rusev, we think there will be a one on one match between Rusev and Jinder Mahal this week on Raw, and this is a match that Rusev has to win. Jinder showed some promising performance against Cesaro, fans were not much pumped up by this match but he was good, so we hope his status should be elevated to mid card.
Last but not the least; we are hoping to see Brock Lesnar this week. Paul Heyman hyping up the Universal championship match between his client Brock Lesnar and the new champion Goldberg is expected for this week. A confrontation between Brock and Goldberg is also anticipated.
