WWE News: Brief Indication For The Post-Wrestlemania Season Booking Of Raw
Mar 2, 2017 at 6:02 PM
Till date, we have got some hints of the matches that could take place at Wrestlemania from the flagship brand of WWE. Most of the matches will be featuring the part-timers. They are the ones who show up during this time of the year when the showcase of immortals come around and then gradually fades away. These are the big matches rumored from the Raw brand:
Goldberg (Champion) vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE Universal Title Match)
The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
Triple H vs. Seth Rollins
Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho (United States Title Match)
Now, it is evident that once Wrestlemania is done, names like The Undertaker, Triple H, Goldberg will not be seen on television anymore. Chris Jericho, one of the main attractions on Raw for the entire 2016 might not be available, as well. Hence, WWE has to plan accordingly without them. This is going to be a big headache for the creative to invest the audience into the storylines with the regular names present.
Repetitiveness in the feuds will be another problem as per the latest advertisements for the post-Wrestlemania season. It indicates the almost same ongoing feuds will continue even after the biggest event of the year is done. The only fresh addition to the listings is the name of Finn Balor who is expected to feature on Raw, regularly. Take a look at the WWE live event bookings during the month of April and May.
Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe
Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
Charlotte vs. Bayley
Gallows & Anderson vs. Enzo & Cass
Also featuring, Finn Balor, Sasha Banks, Sheamus and The New Day.
You can see from the advertisements that the same old bookings might make things cliché for Raw. Fans always compare the fresh bookings on Smackdown even in a limited capacity. We can hope that Brock Lesnar might continue his stint even after Wrestlemania to keep things interesting. There are chances of him winning the Universal title and defending it on the Raw-exclusive PPVs.
