There have been some back and forth going on WWE’s recent plans regarding the Universal championship. The writers were said to be already confused over the fact that who might end up facing the beast for the title. A bunch of names was nurtured like Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.

After many dilemmas, the writers have decided to go for a mammoth push for Strowman handing him the title opportunity. Due to this, he was supposed to defeat Roman Reigns twice at Payback and Extreme Rules.

However, the plans have witnessed an abrupt end after Strowman suffered a shoulder injury this past week on Raw. According to the recent reports, he will not be present on WWE TV for the next four to eight weeks. So, there’s no way that he can challenge Brock Lesnar.

Apparently, WWE creative has finalised the man who would fill up the void left by the big mountain among men. As per the reports from Cagesideseats.com, Finn Balor is almost guaranteed to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal championship at the Great Balls of Fire PPV.

He is the one who did not lose the title back at last year. Rather, he was forced to relinquish the title after suffering an unfortunate shoulder dislocation. So, there should not be any problem to bring him into the title picture.

But, 434.com stated that he would not land into the title picture, straight. Rather, a tournament will be held on Raw to determine the challenger. The Demon King would participate in it and eventually will emerge victoriously. It will also ensure that the other names like Rollins, Hardy would also be kept in the scenario.

No official statement regarding the championship picture has been confirmed by the WWE. The company even did not clarify the injury of Braun Strowman on their official website. We have to wait until the next episode of Raw comes on the air. Some major issues need to be addressed on the upcoming episode which will be hosted by Newark, New Jersey. We would bring you the latest updates on this matter.
