WWE Rumour: One Championship Likely to Change Hands at Clash Of Champions

Tonight’s Clash of Champions PPV is the final one for this year’s PPV calendar. The Smackdown live brand is getting to host the show after a change in schedule was made, and this show was pushed back in the last month of the year.

The event will emanate from the TD Gardens Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. Two main events have been stored to sell out the evening.

Also, all the championships from the blue brand will be on the line since this is one night of the year where all the titles are mandatory to defend. The potential match that will go down last on the card, as the concrete main event is going to be the tag team match where Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will team up against Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton.

As we all know, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan will be the special guest referees for this particular match where the heel duo’s WWE career will be on the line. Apart from that, the crowd will be anxious to see whether any championship change is reserved on the show or not.

Cagesideseats.com has come up with some update regarding the outcomes of the title matches. According to them, no championship is likely to alter hands at the Clash of Champions. If the creative team does decide to pull the trigger on any of the titles, then it is likely that the United States Championship would be the one.

The booking of the match also suggests the same. Primarily, it was thought to be a singles match between Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode. But, Dolph Ziggler was added at the very last moment to the mix to make it a triple threat match. It could be a desperate move by the WWE creative to save the drowning career of the show-off.

So, there’s a chance that Dolph Ziggler may walk out of the Clash of Champions as the new US Champion and gets a strong momentum by his side with it heading into Wrestlemania. The veteran superstar needs a dominant run by his side to prove his worth to the WWE roster, and this would be the perfect move towards that.

Baron Corbin’s title reign has not lived up to the expectations, till date. He is still not over with the crowd, as they remain reaction-less most of the time during the current champion’s appearances. Considering that, Bobby Roode is also a viable option to come out as the champion. However, chances are more of Ziggler capturing the title than the Glorious One if a title change is finalised.
