WWE Rumor: Seth Rollins-Triple H Match Is Intact For Wrestlemania

WWE’s Wrestlemania planning has hit a massive roadblock after Seth Rollins suffered a knee injury at the hands of a debuting Samoa Joe. It’s the second time that Rollins has torn his MCL and hence has to be sidelined for eight weeks. This has put the scheduled Wrestlemania match between him and Triple H in jeopardy. The earlier reports have stated that the creative is in search of a backup planning for Triple H.
However, the latest from WWE grapevine suggests something totally different. It says the injury suffered by Rollins was legit but not so major so that he should be missing Wrestlemania for second straight year. This was just a trick from WWE to keep the fans in suspense who thought that Rollins facing Triple H at Mania is inevitable.
To prove the injury’s legitimacy, Rollins has been removed from all the Raw-exclusive live events during the Road to Wrestlemania. But, Rollins will be back in time to seek his final redemption on the Game and the match is still on to happen at the grandest stage of them all.
The fact of this match being intact for the Wrestlemania season was also supported by WWE veteran Jim Ross who posted regarding the same on his blog.
He said that this one is a money match for WWE which they would not want to miss. Even if there’s the slightest chance of Rollins going into Mania with concussions then he will be competing without performing the aerial moves. These were his comments from his blog:
“This entire matter will depend on what Dr. James Andrews staff has to say regarding clearing Rollins to return to the ring. Rollins showed magnificent resolve rehabbing his last knee injury and I have no doubt that he will do the same again with this less severe injury.
Plus I believe that HHH vs Rollins can be a tremendous match without it having to be laden with risky moves for move’s sake. Unless Rollins experiences complications while rehabbing this latest injury, I am optimistic that the Rollins-HHH bout at Wrestlemania will proceed.”
With this report, it looks like fans can expect to see the Architect back on track in time for Wrestlemania. To the much delight for them, one of the much-anticipated bouts of this time is still on to take place at the showcase of immortals.
