WWE Rumors: The Undertaker Suffered An Injury At Royal Rumble

As per reports, the Undertaker’s Wrestlemania future is in serious trouble after he suffered an injury in the Royal Rumble match. The sources said although he spent only eight minutes and 46 seconds inside the rung, he was really uncomfortable while performing his iconic moves.
This was primarily because of his bad hip. Earlier, in the middle of the last year, he underwent a hip surgery to get rid of some problems but apparently, it is now troubling him more. As a result, he looked stiff while doing his signature moves inside the ring.
The officials were concerned about Undertaker’s injury prior to the match. This might be the reason that his entry into the Rumble match was pushed back to No. 29. The only major task he was given was to eliminate Goldberg apart from the other names like Baron Corbin, The Miz, and Sami Zayn. Moments after, he was eliminated by Roman Reigns.
The Deadman was in severe pain after going backstage and needed medical attention. It has been speculated that Undertaker’s return to in-ring action was a pre-mature.
Dave Meltzer of Wresting Observer newsletter supported the fact telling that Undertaker was badly hurt during his Rumble appearance. This might have also put a question mark on this year’s Wrestlemania appearance. It was a bad idea to put the Phenome into the Rumble match with no concrete reasons as per his view. This was his full comments:
“So Undertaker, he was hurting real bad. I mean you could look at him and you could see that he wasn’t in shape, and you know… it’s the hip. You know… I mean there’s nothing else to really say about it. He’s got two months before WrestleMania.
“He had surgery. He came back to quick from surgery, I think that’s pretty clear. But you know it was the time and they had a story… and the way that the match was structured he really didn’t have to do a whole hell of a lot. But even that when he was backstage he was hurting a lot. So… yeah that’s the gist of the thing with him.”
