WWE Rumour: Former United States Champion wants to Quit the Company

Due to the huge roster that WWE has to maintain, it’s not possible to keep the focus on each of the talents that reside on the list. It is the reason why many of the superstars might not be happy with their position. It’s not something new that talents were frustrated with not being involved in any of the storylines for a longer span of time and hence wanted to get released from the contract.

In recent times, a similar speculation arrived on the rumour mill which stated that a former United States Champion Rusev wants to quit the company. But, since his contract is intact for years to come, he urged for a release from WWE officials in mutual understanding. There’re some confusions about the legitimacy of the superstar’s name.

However, according to the hints of Inquistr.com, Rusev is the concerned one who wants to get out of the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world. He has all the right reasons to use him, properly for almost a year now. Ever since he lost the US title, last year, he was lost in the mix.

The Bulgarian Brute lost his mojo since after coming out of the US title feud against Roman Reigns. He was booked in some random matches for a long time. Plus, he missed this year’s Wrestlemania due to a shoulder injury which was quite a frustration for a promising superstar like him.

WWE creative shifted his name to the Smackdown roster hoping that the “land of opportunity” will do some wonder to him. He was being advertised to return to the title picture once Wrestlemania season was gone. However, the planning changed and Jinder Mahal became the new champion which kept Rusev out of the scenario till his return before Summerslam.

But, quite surprisingly, he lost two consecutive PPV matches against John Cena and Randy Orton. Also, at Summerslam, he was buried by The Viper after the latter one pinned him in just mere seconds. Apparently, it’s a result of the backstage heat that he is suffering, recently. He was also absent from this week’s Smackdown which is an indication of things to come. At this time, if we receive reports of Rusev getting released, we should not be surprised.
