There’s been a constant speculation up on the rumour mill which suggests that The Undertaker will be back in the WWE for one more match. He has never retired officially following the loss at the hands of Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33. He just hinted the same by leaving off his gloves and in-ring gear in the middle of the ring.
Later, WWE has not given any concrete update on the Deadman’s career. They too stated that we might have seen the last of The Undertaker at this year’s Mania. It is the reason why the fans keep on speculating about an inevitable return.
After all, this the character in the pro-wrestling industry which is surrounded by uncertainties.
Now, the rumour of Undertaker returning was just fuelled up by some posts on Twitter just before the Summerslam. The pictures showed him boarding a plane to the New York City from his home-state of Texas. The fans expected him to appear at the biggest party of the summer by interfering in the Universal Championship match and cost Roman Reigns, the title. It would have also confirmed the return match against The Big Dog.
However, that did not happen, and we kept on wondering as of why The Undertaker was present in the city. Jerry Lawler reported that he was there for some sort of scans needed for an upcoming video game. However, recent reports from PWInsider.com suggested that the Phenome was seen training hard for getting back to in-ring action.
Apparently, he is keeping himself ready for showing up in any of the upcoming shows, if required. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter also supported the fact stating that Taker was not present for any gaming scan purposes.
Rather, he might be training under any special capacity which is why he flew to New York at the time of Summerslam. With that being said, it might be evident that he is coming back for one more match. The Phenome has undergone a hip surgery following Wrestlemania, and this training session might help him to move like his old times. So, this is definitely a positive news for all of the WWE Universe.
