WWE Smackdown Live Preview: February 7th, 2017
Feb 7, 2017 at 5:22 PM
WWE will be back to the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington for this week’s episode of Smackdown Live where last year around this time we have received the shocking news of Daniel Bryan hanging up his boots, forever. This time, though, the scenario is completely changed since he is fully in charge of the blue brand. He should be gearing up for this Sunday’s Elimination Chamber PPV and so does we. This is what we can expect from tonight’s Smackdown.
Big match in the main event
The supposed main event of this year’s Wrestlemania will come early as John Cena and Randy Orton will lock horns in the main event of Smackdown. Although these two has been part of some great matches over the years, we can’t get enough of these two veterans. This will be the final time that Cena will have the opportunity to pick up some momentum before heading into the Elimination Chamber. He will be desperate after suffering the pinfall from Orton, last week. Hence, either Cena should be the winner, this time or there would be interferences from the rest of the participants of the Chamber match.
Fresh championship matchup
After her rivalry with Becky Lynch is over, Alexa Bliss has got a new opponent in Naomi to defend her women’s title. Some fans might not agree with Naomi has potential but they can’t disagree with the fact that she is one of the agilest performers in the female roster of the WWE. Plus, the audience always loves fresh storylines and this is where Smackdown differs from Raw, always. Hence, the audience will keep themselves involve into it, tonight.
Nikki-Nattie brawl for one final time
This match was evident since the Elimination Chamber PPV will be hosted by the home state of Nikki Bella. So, she will be getting an ultimate opportunity to seek her revenge on the Queen of Hearts for all the backstabbing and nasty comments from the past. Meanwhile, tonight they might be indulged into another brawl to take the upper hand before heading into the real fight on Sunday.
Another women’s match up should be announced
It looks like that almost all the women around Smackdown locker room will be real busy during the Elimination Chamber PPV. With two matches already confirmed, we should get another bout from the women’s division. Ever-since, Mickie James stabbed Becky Lynch on the back, the Irish Lass-kicker is furious to get her hands on the returning one in a singles contest. She should get one since the Elimination Chamber’s match card should be filled with more matches. Plus, this is an inevitable match that should happen at some point.
Big moment for the Smackdown tag team champs
After being sidelined without any tasks on hand, the American Alpha has got some major tasks on hand on last week’s Smackdown. They will be defending their titles against not one, not two but in an entire tag team turmoil match where all the tag teams of WWE will be involved. The reigning champs might have needed this type of competition to prove their legitimacy. They were brought to the main roster to reign supreme and challenges from anywhere will make them even stronger. They should be keeping up the momentum going for the Elimination Chamber on tonight’s Smackdown.
