WWE Smackdown Live preview: November 1st, 2016
Nov 1, 2016 at 12:55 PM
This week’s Smackdown Live is scheduled to take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. With Survivor Series just looming on us, we have multiple questions stored for tonight’s edition. After Raw has made some announcements regarding Survivor Series it’s now time for the blue bandwagon to hit back. So, here’s what to expect from this week’s Smackdown Live.
Will Ambrose receive the title shot?
Ambrose got robbed on last week’s main event on Smackdown. Ellsworth hit the “No Chin music” to make the disqualification. Although, Ellsworth apologized for a number of times is not it certain that he did it on purpose. Since he still is unbeaten against Styles, he is looking forward to getting another opportunity to the WWE World championship. But, Ambrose will get his much-deserved opportunity, too courtesy Daniel Bryan. Since WWE will be traveling to the UK, next week, expect a triple threat title match to be announced on tonight’s show.
Orton joining the Watt family
Orton joining the Wyatt family was the much-deserved twist to refresh the storyline. We can expect Orton addressing it officially on tonight’s show. Wyatt will keep full control of the Viper until Survivor Series is over. Orton is expected to be on a hiatus for a couple of weeks from next week and Wyatt might abduct him to portray it as the storyline. For now, Wyatt will continue dominating Orton with mind games.
Survivor Series team formation
As we have seen on Raw, the top guys are filling up the spots for the Survivor Series team formation, AJ Styles should be named the team captain from the blue brand. No title will be defended on the PPV night and hence Ambrose too should automatically be inserted to the team. As a wildcard entrant, you can expect Baron Corbin. The Intercontinental champion, Ziggler who has been a renowned Survivor Series savior in his career will also likely to join them.
Nikki Bella-Carmella rivalry
WWE has brought even better into the rivalry on Smackdown ever since John Cena is mentioned with Nikki Bella as part of the storyline. Nikki will now have two tasks on her shoulder i.e. to form the women’s team for Survivor Series and take care of Carmella’s sneak attacks. If that’s not all then she might also have to take care of Natalya’s heel tactics, too. Nattie might be so upset after getting eliminated by Nikki, last week on Smackdown.
Women’s title scenario
Becky Lynch has lost momentum by her side after getting sidelined due to the mysterious injury. Her opponent, Alexa Bliss has taken the fullest advantage to gain the upper hand for the past couple of weeks. We can expect her to dominant the returning champion, just like she did last week. She is all fired up to get her much-delayed title match at next week in Glasgow, Scotland. So she will not let go the heelish antics on Becky, so easily.
