WWE Smackdown was taped this week from Cincinnati, Ohio. Roman Reigns was back on Smackdown after a couple of week’s hiatus and opened the show. He cut a promo talking about the beat-down that he delivered to Triple H and claimed that the chase is not over as he will take his WWE World Heavyweight championship at Wrestlemania. The must mentioned thing is the promo was compact and he did get a good reaction from the crowd which was way better than Raw. (WWE Smackdown results are courtesy SportsKeeda.com)

Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz

The match was a balanced and decent one in which the Show-off picked up the victory after tasting the loss on Raw at the hands of Triple H. A star like him needs the spotlight which he starves. The match was said to be out of respect for the Game. But, Ziggler still is without any opponent at Wrestlemania.

A backstage segment is done between AJ Styles and Kevin Owens to set up the main event of the night firmly. The hometown favorite Dean Ambrose was absent on WWE Smackdown and hence cuts a promo on screen. The audience cheers for their favorite Ambrose as usual.

Bubba Ray Dudley def. Goldust

Bubba defeats Goldust in a singles competition and starts mugging him with his tag partner D-Von. But R-Truth comes in to save his would-be tag team partner. The Usos also comes in for the save.

Kalisto in a backstage interview accepts Ryback’s Wrestlemania challenge.

A face-to-face discussion between Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks starts with Charlotte and Ric Flair. She introduces Becky first and then Sasha. The trash talks eventually turn into a fight and Charlotte escapes a two-on-one attack.

Kofi Kingston def. Wade Barrett

After accepting the League of Nations’ challenge for Wrestlemania Kofi squares off against Barrett. Now, it is evident that Barrett stepping into the ring in a match means he will be pinned and that’s what happens in the match.

Next, up Ambrose cleans house with a kendo stick in hand before confronting Brock Lesnar next week on Raw.

Kevin Owens def. AJ Styles

The match was as good as expected and got a huge pop. In between the match Jericho interfered to cause a distraction for Styles which allows him to hit with the pop-up powerbomb and pick up the win. Jericho hits Styles with a Codebreaker after the match and taunts him as the show ends.
