Ambrose and Owens once again main evented Smackdown

This week’s Smackdown tapings took place in Atlanta, Georgia, with Dean Ambrose battling Kevin Owens in the main event. The Lunatic Fringe opened the show to cut a promo about his recent battles with Triple H and Brock Lesnar. He’s interrupted by Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens, who points out his own lack of an opponent for WrestleMania 32. After a heated confrontation, Owens attempted a sneak attack with a steel chair but the plan backfired when Ambrose hit him with same. The event set up for a non-title match between them later the night. (results courtesy whatculture.com)

League of Nations def. The Usos

Sheamus and Rusev once again picked up a victory, showing their relevance in the tag division. Sheamus connected with the Brogue Kick on Jimmy for the win. The Dudleys then came down and beat The Usos up some more.

Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz

Ziggler wins the rematch from RAW against Miz with a roll-up. Anything can’t be said where this win is leading Ziggler into. A competitor like Ziggler needs a strong opponent at Wrestlemania.

Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch (no contest)

This contest was a predictable no contest. After putting on a solid match, Charlotte came out and attacked both women. It is pretty obvious at this point it will be a triple threat at WrestleMania.

AJ Styles def. Kofi Kingston

Y2AJ has been on a tremendous roll as of late. Especially, the unique offences from Styles are a show stealer for sure. This time, he defeated Kingstone with a springboard elbow.

Dean Ambrose def. Kevin Owens (non-title match)

Ambrose hits the Dirty Deeds on Owens, which should probably earn him an Intercontinental title shot down the road. The win is probably going to give Ambrose with an IC title shot in near future. The push to Ambrose is all about to feed him against Triple H and get some heat ahead Reigns’ Wrestlemania contest.
