WWE Summerslam 2017: Raw & Smackdown Women’s Championship Match Results

The Women’s Revolution continues in the WWE with not one but two championship matches. Both the matches from the women’s roster took place on the main show of Summerslam which shows how much the women athletes are appreciated in the WWE, nowadays.

From Raw, it was a real-life hatred that turned into a match without a proper build up between Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss. The latter one has held the titles since the Payback PPV, and The Boss was the rightmost person to take the title away from the champion.

Both the participants in this match got a bigger entrance. The contest started with early pinfall attempts by both Bliss and Sasha. The contender picked up the momentum by a series of her moves, but Bliss counter attacked her with a knee to the face.

Aftermath, Bliss connected with a Twister Bliss, but banks kicked out of that. The champions could not believe her eyes, as she got locked into the Bank Statement. She tried to get rid of it but Banks re-applied it, once more, as Bliss had no choice but to tap out. The Boss has now become a four-time Women’s Champion.

On the other hand, Naomi has been the champion on the blue brand since Wrestlemania who went up against a veteran wrestler, Natalya. A possibility was there whether Carmella would ruin things or not for the winner of this match by cashing in the Money in the Bank contract.

After a glowing entrance from Naomi, the match started with an insulting slap from Natalya. The champion went right after the challenger, but Nattie countered with a drop kick to block the resistance.

Naomi missed a moon sault move as it allowed Natalya to lock in the Sharpshooter on her. It was broken up somehow, but The Queen of Hearts was able to lock it, once again. This time, Naomi had no choice but to tap out making Natalya the new Smackdown Women’s Champion at Summerslam.
