WWE Survivor Series 2016: Full Match Card, Predictions With Analysis

This is going to be one time in the year when two brands will collide to reign supreme. This year Survivor Series is going to be headlined by the brand war. But that’s not all. We have got the “Fantasy warfare becomes reality” match in the main event. Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg is any pro-wrestling fan’s dream match and it will take place at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Canada. Check out the full match card and what we can expect from the 30th annual Survivor Series:

svv3

Brian Kendrick (c) vs. Kalisto (Cruiserweight championship)

This match has been announced with a stipulation that if Kendrick loses then the entire Cruiserweight division will move to Smackdown. As a spoiler alert for this its result, we have been given with the news that WWE 205 live will come right after Smackdown goes off air. So, that does give us a hint that the Cruiserweights are going to move to the Smackdown division. Since the debut of Cruiserweights on Raw, they have been doing nothing but getting random matches. Smackdown will utilize them more efficiently than Raw did. Furthermore, it might give Kalisto’s career an extra momentum that he needs. So, we are picking the masked one to walk out victorious.

Prediction: Kalisto wins to become new Cruiserweight champion

svv1

The Miz (c) (with Maryse) vs. Sami Zayn (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

So now the Miz will fight for Smackdown’s honor even after his personal issues with Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan. It looks like the dirty games played by Maryse and Spirit Squad will come as handy for Smackdown. Sami Zayn will give it all that he has but unfortunately, Maryse’s involvement will lead Miz to the victory at Survivor Series. He’ll return to Smackdown with the title around his shoulder to defend it once again in a special match at the TLC PPV.

Prediction: The Miz retains the IC title

svv4

20-Man Tag Team Elimination match (Raw vs. Smackdown Tag Team division)

WWE is bringing back this concept from the old school wrestling. But the teams contain some of the not-so-impressive names from both Raw and Smackdown roster. However, Raw’s tag team names are pretty formidable with the New Day, Gallows-Anderson and Enzo-Cass by their side. Smackdown, on the other hand, have only got the Usos as veterans. Even the champions look lost in the midst. In fact, we don’t officially know who their captain is. So, we are going with the red brand here who will pick up the win in this round of Survivor Series.

Prediction: Team Raw wins

svv2

5-on-5 Tag Team Elimination <atch (Raw vs. Smackdown Women’s division)

On paper, the Raw team looks solid. They have the unstoppable Women’s champion Charlotte with another reckless force called Nia Jax. Now add Bayley and Sasha Banks to them and you should get the results easily. But, the animosity between Charlotte and all the other ladies will definitely come into play and give Smackdown the edge.

Prediction: Smackdown Women win

svv5

Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown (Men’s Tag Team Elimination Match)

The best from the Raw division will take on the best of the Smackdown division. The red side looks stronger than the blue one considering that Shane McMahon is going to be the weak link here. On the other hand, you will get to see Braun Strowman, who at least will do some damage before getting eliminated. Then you have got Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins working together. So, we might see a Shield reunion at some point with Ambrose joining the party. But, at some point, there should be a twist which will give Smackdown the upper hand. This might be Triple H showing up at some point betraying Rollins or the Undertaker to provide support to his league. This will make the blue team picking up the win and lead the series 2-1.

Prediction: Team Smackdown wins via an interference

svv6

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg

Finally, the dream match is happening at Survivor Series. This match is expected to be better than the Wrestlemania one that happened in 2004. Goldberg said he has underperformed back then and so he’ll make it up by over-performing, here. Sure, he will be taken to the Suplex City but his training regimen will help him recover more quickly. Heyman will try to interfere at some point but his effect will most probably be negated. During the end, Shane McMahon might show up to get his redemption on Lesnar which will allow Goldberg to capitalize. A superhero’s career will come to an end with the man celebrating with his family at ringside. As for Lesnar, he’ll get his next opponent in Shane McMahon with the match probably taking place at the Royal Rumble PPV.

Prediction: Goldberg gets a proper send-off by winning this one
