WWE has conducted the most successful PPV event of the year, Survivor Series, last Sunday. Moving forward, the rumor mill is providing us with news of some drastically changed WWE in near future basis of the championships and Wrestlemania planning. The year is nearing to close and the blueprint for the biggest event of the next year is on the cards. So, here is the top 5 rumor at this time.
Chris Jericho to become WWE Champion
Jericho has been the most entertaining man on WWE television with his current run. His appeal to the crowd is so overwhelming that he might up end up being the seven-time world champion. The feud between him and Owens is in the making. It is supposed that when the friendship breaks up then Jericho will win the Universal title to have one final title run. The match also has the possibility to take place at Wrestlemania.
Goldberg’s contract extension
Vince McMahon has extended WWE’s contract with Goldberg to make more than one appearance with him. That’s why we have got the early announcement of him entering into the Royal Rumble PPV. It is almost guaranteed that Goldberg will feature in a Wrestlemania 33 match. If things fall well in their places then he would either compete in the Universal championship match or a rematch with Brock Lesnar.
The Rock’s Wrestlemania appearance
For the fourth consecutive year, the Rock will be appearing at Wrestlemania sans a full-fledged wrestling role. His movie contract will not allow him to get into a match, this year too. Rumor says that he will be involved in an entertaining segment that he was in previous Wrestlemanias. The confrontations might see Vin Diesel or Conor McGregor against him.
Dana Brooke out of the planning
Dana Brooke was originally planned to turn into a babyface after breaking up with her mentor, Charlotte. She was even called as the female “Roman Reigns” for her potential. But, lack of skills and fans disliking forced her from WWE creative’s book. She is not going to get any push in the upcoming future. In fact, she will not have any sort of real feuds, if the rumor mill is suggesting true.
Dolph Ziggler to win back the IC title
Rumor suggests that WWE creative wanted to give the Survivor Series IC title match a heel vs. face scenario. Zayn was a babyface who took on the bonafide heel like the Miz adding a whole new dimension to the match. This was the reason behind Ziggler losing it back to the Miz. So, now that Ziggler and the Miz are squaring off again for the final time in the TLC PPV, the show-off is favorite to win back the Intercontinental title and thus becoming a six-time champion.
