WWE: What to Expect From This Week’s Raw: October 23rd, 2017

After quite a long time, WWE suffered a lot of headache heading into the Raw-exclusive PPV, WWE TLC.

It’s that rare occasion where multiple superstars were unable to compete in marquee matches. However, the company was able to rearrange the match card to come with quite a successful show which witnessed the return of Kurt Angle to in-ring action.

Tonight we will witness the kick-off in the buildup of the Survivor Series PPV on WWE Raw. It will also include the fallouts from the TLC PPV that would help to set up the storylines for the dual brand event. This week’s edition of the show will take place at the Resch Center in Greenbay, Wisconsin.

Brock Lesnar is set to return to the flagship program after a short hiatus following No Mercy. He is scheduled to address the challenge given by Jinder Mahal from Smackdown for a champion vs champion match. For now, this match is set to be the main event of the last big PPV of the year. So, we can expect a positive answer from the beast incarnate who dares to face the Modern-day Maharaja.

The main event match lived up to the hypes with Kurt Angle’s return. There was quite an exciting segment between Kane and Braun Strowman after that miscommunication. It forced all four of his teammates to take him out via the garbage truck.

The behemoth is expected to return a big-time to take vengeance against them. It should further set up a feud between Kane and the monster among men to build a match at the Survivor Series PPV.

Kurt Angle was the reason behind The Miz getting infuriated at the TLC PPV. On an interesting note, the Raw GM also turned out to be the one to get the pinfall win against the Hollywood A-lister. So, this bad blood should continue between the two of them, as these two might lock horns at Survivor Series PPV.

Plus, tonight’s WWE Raw will mark the debut of Asuka. After picking up the big win against Emma at TLC, she needs a power-packed storyline going forward. Alexa Bliss is also over with the feud against Mickie James for the title. Hence, she should get a new opponent over the championship.

However, plans might change if WWE plans to make a Survivor Series 5-on-5 matchup with both Raw and Smackdown brand women. Also, Enzo would continue bragging about his Cruiserweight title win against Kalisto.
