WWE: What Transpired Once Smackdown Live Went-Off The Air: December 5th, 2017

This week’s Smackdown Live delivered quite a good episode that left a huge impact on the Clash of Champions PPV. There was a couple of changes made to the already confirmed title matches announced for the Smackdown tag-team and women’s championships. The first one added the team of Rusev and Aiden English into it, whereas, the second one got changed to a Lumberjack match.
Also, a brand new match was made involving Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. They missed the Survivor Series PPV but will not miss the next one. Shane McMahon confirmed that the heel duo would be in action against Randy Orton and another superstar which will get disclosed, next week. Also, Shane McMahon will be acting as the special guest referee of the match.
With all these happenings going around, the presence of AJ Styles was felt on the show to a big extent. After all, the crowd could not miss the one who built Smackdown Live. Also, the contender for the championship, Jinder Mahal has also been kept off the show for the night. To make that up, a video package was run to hype-up their main event match at the Clash of Champions featuring the rivalry between them that has been ongoing since October.

So, for the fans in attendance was graced by the Phenomenal One’s presence once the main show was over. The WWE Champion came out in a huge reaction from the crowd in San Diego. He put his title on the line in a match against Jinder Mahal. AJ retained his title over the Modern-day Maharaja in a decent match.

Another dark match was preserved for the live crowd before Smackdown Live. Another star who missed the show was Tye Dillinger who was utilized in the segment. He defeated Mike Kanellis in a squash match who is also missing the taped editions of Tuesday Night’s shows for quite sometimes.

Rusev and Aiden English were spotted on the Smackdown Fallout show. They were delighted after getting the title opportunity at the brand-exclusive PPV. On the other hand, Shelton Benjamin and Chad able were not happy to see these two get involved in the match, all of a sudden.
