Yuvraj Singh Hilariously Trolls Ravi Shastri On His Tweet On 2011 World Cup Anniversary

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh showed his witty side on Twitter on Thursday when he left everyone in splits by trolling Indian head coach Ravi Shastri. On April 02, 2011, Team India won the World Cup after 28 years. On Thursday, it was the ninth anniversary of the World Cup win and Shastri took to Twitter to congratulate team India.

However, Yuvraj Singh saw the funny side of his tweet and roasted the Indian coach for excluding his and MS Dhoni’s name from the congratulatory tweet.

Team India Were Exceptional In The Final

April 02nd, 2011 was the day when India conquered their dream of winning their second-ever world cup. The pressure was immense as India were playing in home conditions and everyone in the country wanted them to win. What made the task more challenging was the fact that their rivals in the final, Sri Lanka had piled up a huge total for them to chase in the night of the final.

However, the Indians, after having lost a couple of wickets early on, came back on track with the giant partnership between Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni. Gambhir missed his century by three runs but when he departed, he had done the job for his team. The game ended in brilliant fashion by Indian skipper MS Dhoni who hit a six over long-on to give India their second-ever World Cup win and their first world cup win in 28 years.
