The semi-final lineup for this edition of the ICC Champions Trophy has indeed left everyone in with a bit of surprise. While India and England were the two of the most expected entries, the likes of Pakistan and Bangladesh in that elite list does add a lot of spice. India and Bangladesh over the last decade or so, have been involved in some serious tussles, beginning right from their clash of the 2007 World Cup.
India settled scores in 2011 and in 2015, both in World Cups, but as far as Bangladesh is concerned, the side still has a point to prove to their Asian neighbours. The men in blue come on the back of a near perfect performance against South Africa and would want to repeat the same against Bangladesh. Despite the Tigers not being as potent as the Proteas, there shouldn’t be any room for complacency.
