2017 Records: Most Test Fifties by a Batsman in 2017

We are almost approaching the end of this year, and like all the years, 2017 was a memorable one for several cricketers who produced some brilliant performances over the course of this calendar year to win recognition for their country. Notably, Indian cricketers were among top-class scoring tons of runs for their nation.
The Indian team has dominated the game playing all the matches in their home conditions with all the batsmen coming good. As a result, India’s KL Rahul heads the list of most Test fifties in this calendar year.
KL Rahul has been stunning for India as he scored a record number of seven fifties consecutively, and was a crucial member of India’s long home season dominance. Despite having a dismal time in the ongoing Ashes, England skipper has been in good touch throughout the year scoring seven fifties from 11 matches.

The experienced left-handed batsman from Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal finds himself on the fifth spot with five half-centuries from eight matches he has represented for his country in the longer format, while prolific run-scorer for India Cheteshwar Pujara is at the sixth spot with the equal number of the fifties from eleven matches.

Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and England’s suspended all-rounder slots in the last two places with four half-centuries from six and seven matches respectively.
