Alex Hales Excited after Joining Sunrisers Hyderabad

England’s limited-overs batsman Alex Hales has expressed his delight after joining Sunrisers Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Hyderabad named Hales as David Warner’s replacement.
IPL Governing Council banned Warner and Smith in the wake of the recent ball-tampering scandal. Meanwhile, this opened the door for Hales, who will make his debut. Previously, he was with Mumbai India in 2015 but did not play any game.
“I’m excited to be given this opportunity by the Sunrisers to play in arguably the biggest domestic tournament in the world,” said Hales.
Meanwhile, Hales will miss two Royal London Cup matches if Hyderabad reaches the knock-out stages of the competition.
The 28-year-old has recently signed a two-year deal to play only white ball cricket for Nottinghamshire. However, the agreement has a clause in it retaining his right to sign an IPL deal if offered one, either through the competition’s auction or as a replacement.
He also expressed his gratitude and promised that he would give his all when he returns.
“I wish to thank Notts for their support. While it’s disappointing to miss matches for Outlaws when I return to England I will be match hardened and ready to give my all to their cause,” he added.
Hyderabad bought Hales for his base price of INR 1 crore from the Registered and Available Player Pool (RAPP) list, a BCCI release stated.
Having lost their otherwise captain, Sunrisers named Kane Williamson to take over the reins.
However, Hyderabad has built a strong squad in the auctions under VVS Laxman. They also have a perfect blend of youngsters and experienced campaigners which makes it more interesting. Also, they have quality Indian players who can win matches on their own.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad will start their campaign on April 9 against Rajasthan Royals.
